TUI Airways returns to Inverness this summer, after a brief hiatus, as their seasonal Majorca flights commence. During summer 2022, people in the North of Scotland will once again have the fantastic opportunity to sample the Spanish Balearic Island of Majorca, taking advantage of direct flights from an airport on their doorstep. With return fares as low as £79.99 per person, passengers have the opportunity to jet off for some sun, sea, and relaxation for reasonably low fares.
The Inverness-Majorca route has proved very popular with holidaymakers in previous years and 2022 is set to follow this trend. With the launch flight already full, it is clear that the post-COVID travel revival is well and truly upon us.
As seen in previous years, the route is being operated by a TUI franchise partner. Launching on Friday 10th June, the weekly service will be operated by Spanish charter airline AlbaStar on behalf of TUI using a fleet of modern Boeing 737 aircraft.
With a flight time of just 3 hours, passengers can expect to arrive at their destination midafternoon giving you plenty of time on your day of arrival to enjoy and explore the local area.
Located in the Mediterranean, Majorca is the largest of the Spanish Balearic Islands. Whether you’re planning some poolside relaxation or maybe some island exploration, Majorca has something for everyone. There are numerous resorts around the island which can be booked as part of a package holiday such as TUI’s Hotel Cala Bona, located just off the marina in the centre of Cala Bona.
Majorca has no shortage of beaches – in fact, there are over 200 of them! - all with beautiful white sands and crystal-clear waters. Cala Agulla is a beach popular with many. Surrounded by mountains and pine trees, it makes for a tranquil and picturesque dip in the Med.
To really get a feel for the island, there are some brilliant tours on offer each with its own theme. You can tour Majorca by rail, sea, road and even by air!
Majorca is a superb destination for all, and a destination easily accessible from Inverness Airport. This is a perfect opportunity for anyone still planning their summer break, and for those who like to plan ahead, the Inverness-Majorca route will return later in the year with JetsGo Holidays.
